USES
This medication is used to treat tapeworm infection (e.g.,
hydatid disease).
OTHER USES
This drug may also be used to treat other parasite
infections.
HOW TO USE
Take this medication by mouth, generally given twice
daily with meals, or as directed by your doctor. Be sure to take
other medications, if prescribed, for your condition.
SIDE EFFECTS
This medication may cause dizziness, headache,
fever, nausea, vomiting, or temporary hair loss. If these effects
persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly.
Very unlikely, but report promptly: persistent sore throat or
fever, severe headache, seizures, vision problems, yellowing eyes
or skin, dark urine, stomach pain, easy bruising, mental/mood
changes, very stiff neck, change in amount of urine.
In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this
drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic
reaction to this drug include: rash, itching, swelling,
dizziness, trouble breathing.
If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your
doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS (Know Before you Buy Online)
Tell your doctor your medical history, including
any allergies you may have.
Limit alcohol intake, as it may aggravate certain side effects
of this drug. Caution is advised when performing tasks requiring
alertness (e.g., driving).
This medication should be used only when clearly needed during

benefits with your doctor, as well as use of reliable birth
control methods during and for one month after treatment. Inform
your doctor immediately should you become pregnant, or think you
may be pregnant.
It is unknown if this drug is excreted into breast milk

Tell your doctor of all nonprescription and
prescription medication you may use, especially: dexamethasone,
praziquantel, cimetidine, theophylline.

OVERDOSE

Do not share this medication with others.
This medication has been prescribed for your current condition

MISSED DOSE
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember.
If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and
resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to
catch up.
STORAGE
Store at room temperature between 68 and 77 degrees F
(20 to 25 degrees C) away from light and moisture.
